About
The Full Story
Kelli's journey with yoga began in 2003, marking the start of a profound transformation in her life. What began as a simple practice soon evolved into an art form—a dance of breath and motion that allowed her to find freedom within her own body. At that time, she was a new mother, and yoga provided her with the space to care for herself amidst the demands of motherhood.
In 2007, Kelli's life took an unexpected and painful turn with the loss of her son. The overwhelming grief and trauma made it nearly impossible for her to sit with her emotions and continue her yoga practice. In an attempt to cope, she sought out solace in marathon running and other high-endurance athletics. The physical exertion provided a refuge, and the ability to move forward and handle other life responsibilities and demands. By 2014, Kelli was diagnosed with an inflammatory disease. This diagnosis was a wake-up call, she realized that she needed to stop running—both literally and metaphorically—and learn to accept her grief rather than escape from it. In 2015, Kelli completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) at Purusha Yoga School in San Francisco. Since earning her certification, Kelli has shared her passion for yoga by teaching in various settings, including studios, high schools, and private sessions. Through yoga, Kelli discovered the strength to let go of what she could not change and embrace the possibility of a new beginning. Kelli dedicates her energy to her students to find their own paths to healing and transformation through the practice of yoga.
